Children's Parade and the Fish Rodeo
Our primary decided to enter the Spanish Fork Children's Parade this year for Rodeo Days. The theme was Dream Big so we went in our pajama's, and I made a felt crown for each of the children in our primary to wear. Yes, I am crazy like that. They were so cute, and I got to practice sewing crazy curvy lines, so it was a win-win for everyone. Jane and Jefferson loved waving at all the people, and I loved feeling a part of our community. What a great morning! We walked down Center Street to the library were they had a whole slew of carnival games set up.
A really fun tradition in Spanish Fork is the Fish Rodeo. Jefferson wanted to do it this year after we finished the parade even though the line was unbelievably long. He did great and loved his catch. He loved his fish a little too much and wanted to keep it so we could eat it. It sat in our fridge until I could sneak it out to the trash. All I can say is next year I am coming up with a plan to get him to agree to donate it back to the park!
