Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas. It's so fun to see Jefferson start to understand what it's all about. We started our Christmas celebration with a Christmas Eve dinner at Nana's and Grandpa's. We had a fabulous feast, read the Christmas story, and played Christmas carols with homemade bells. Jefferson really liked playing the bells although he tried to horde most of them in his pile. Jane really enjoyed herself too, sleeping almost the whole time in Nana's arms.

Christmas morning, Jefferson found that Santa had brought him a railroad crossing for his train set. I guess he was a good boy this year because the present was perfect. The rest of the day was spent opening presents from grandparents and great grandparents, having a birthday party for me, opening more presents, and eating tasty foods most of the day. In short, it was a wonderful day. My parents were supposed to be here in the evening, but after being delayed and shuttled around the country in various planes, they finally got here around 10:30 pm. Christmas day was not the best for them, but I sure am glad they got to come! Seeing their only two grandkids the next morning made up for it, I am sure. We sure enjoyed being with them through the holidays.
