Wow, can I first just say that this month has been crazy! I have been working hard on my thesis and it looks like.....I will be graduating this semester. I was about to just throw in the towel, but after talking with my professor, we decided we could work with the data I had already collected last year and not have to totally redo my project. So this last month has been non-stop writing and editing and writing some more to meet all the deadlines. I finally turned in my paper, and I will be defending my thesis on March 5th. Then I just have to turn final copies to the library and I'll be totally done. Now I can tackle all of those other projects I've been putting off.
In other news, Jason has impressed us all by framing a wall in our basement and building shelves. Once I learned framing was involved, I thought we would buy freestanding shelves, but Jason just went to work. They turned out wonderfully, and now everything is organized nice and neat. Now on to the cold storage shelves for our food storage! Just kidding, Jason...well kind of.
We also have fenced in our backyard so the old country highway behind our house is not quite as scary. I just can't wait till we get some grass in! I have grand plans for our landscaping, but for now, grass will be pretty much all we put in and quite a luxury. I'm excited for no more mud or dirt. Ahh, so many projects, so little time.
Jefferson turns two in March. I can't believe how fast he has grown up. He is a little ball of energy and keeps me on my toes. He is obsessed with garages and trains and planes. Everything with an opening is a garage, and he would stand out in the freezing snow all day just to open and close the garage door. He also loves the movie Cars--he doesn't sit and watch it for long, but he wants it going at all times. What a boy!

Congratulations on your thesis! So much work. I knew a guy that got all the way through his research and his premise didn't work - the numbers were random. So sad - he had to decide whether to start all his work over or not! I'm glad you got to use your research.
Yeah, that's right...sometimes the things they make us go through to graduate! It's ridiculous! CONGRATULATIONS...it's the total best feeling ever isn't it.
