My great-grandma, grandma, and mother patched pieces of this quilt together. My mom finished it and gave it to Jason and me as our wedding present. I am so lucky to have it. Having Jefferson sit on it made me think of the sacrifices those before him have made and how strong and courageous his ancestors have been, on all sides. He has a big name to live up to and pass on. I hope one day his children will pass on stories of my generation and his special heritage.
