LOTOJA 2008

Jason completed his 5th LOTOJA this year. This race is the ultimate bike race--206 miles of mountain passes, steep descents, and a gamble with the weather. This year was quite the experience. I missed Jason twice due to traffic, restocking trout in a river, construction, and more traffic. Jason was a pretty good sport though. He had to eat some pretty scary things at the neutral feed zones, waste time waiting for me, and was worried about his little family not showing up twice, but he made it all 206 miles and did so only a little past his goal time of 10:00 hours. Thankfully, the next day he was awarded with a plaque for riding it out through rain, snow, sun, and missed support for 1000+ miles. What a stud!

Congrats Jason! That totally rocks. I could probably go about 2.06 miles before my legs gave out. Looks like you guys are doing well, we miss you!
