Gold, Glitter, and Barbies

Jane wanted a barbie party for her birthday this year, but I wasn't quite so sure. We ended up  compromising and had a vintage Barbie party with old school Barbies, glittery gold, and blush pink accents.   Jane loves everything pretty so it was easy to please her.  She wanted a barbie cake and after searching high and low for a doll that wasn't caked with makeup, I found this Twilight doll. She's awesome if you ignore the fact that she is a vampire. Ha!  The Barbie through the Years poster, calendar Barbie prints by Robert Best, and vintage Barbie doll were all scored on eBay. Jane and I both loves how it all came together.

Jane is such a blessing to have in our lives. She is a go-getter and a sweetie, and a determined, brave, beautiful, funny, silly girl. She adds the spunk that our family needs and reminds us that girls really are made of sugar and spice.   Jane, we love you so much!   Hope you loved your Barbie party as much as I did. Have a great three year old year!
