I was excited for 1, nervous for 2, knew that 3 was going to be a blast (because 2 was awesome), but 4...wow. I don't really know how to feel. He is just growing up too fast and I want him to stay mine forever! I can't believe we brought home our first little baby four years ago. It seems like such a short time from then to now, but also like we have always had our Jefferson. He told me that he was "getting so big" today. He even made an effort to do everything a big kid should--like flexing his muscles and going potty without being reminded. So cute!
Jefferson is just such a good, kindhearted boy. He is nice to everyone and makes friends easily. He loves to sing and picks up songs just from hearing them once or twice. I love when Jefferson enters adult conversation. Jason and I were talking about taking the kids to the doctor and we mentioned shots. Jane was having a rough night, so Jefferson countered, "well, that will just make her feel worse," like we were a little dense. I laughed and then he said, "worse is not a funny word." He also will answer everything with a very calculated yes. Not yeah, or sure, but yes.
We had a dinosaur party and had ten kids running around (plus a baby who is mobile, but not quite running). It was chaos for a bit but I think all the kids had a good time. Jefferson sure thought it was great. Thanks Nana and Jill for jumping right in and helping.

I can't believe either that Jefferson is 4 years old. He is growing bigger. And he is a handsome boy too. I love the pictures of the party, so extravagant, how can you top it when he is 5? I bet they loved every minute of it.

There is no way Jefferson is 4! He's so grown up. And the party looks like so, so much fun. That cake is amazing!
