Every time we try to feed Jefferson, he grabs for the spoon and insists on guiding the food there himself. I let him him feed himself the drier foods all the time, but have avoided messy, goopy ones. Finally, I gave him his bowl of oatmeal and a spoon to try. It was a mess, but you coundn't ask for a happier child.
